With one more reported Covid-19 recovery, Maldives has confirmed a total of 155 recoveries from the pandemic thus far.
The Covid-19 dashboard by the Ministry of Health, reveals that the number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the island nation currently sits at 155, while the number was at 154, earlier on Tuesday.
The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) revealed during Monday night’s press briefing that 10 more patients had recovered.
Earlier, the NEOC reported that most recoveries recorded in the country are Maldivians, such, over 100 locals have recovered.
The country’s Covid-19 recovery rate has risen to 11.11% and the mortality rate is currently at 0.29%, with the four Covid-19 fatalities recorded in the Maldives thus far.
While authorities have stressed that the recovery rate is slower than they had initially predicted, stating that recovery is observably taking an average of 17 days, recoveries reported have observably increased within the past 10 days.
There are currently 11 Covid-19 patients hospitalized and 1,234 active cases. As of Tuesday morning, there have been 1,395 confirmed infections in the island nation.
