Maldives Covid-19 case count rises to 1,143

37 new cases reported on Tuesday

An additional 37 cases of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been confirmed in the Maldives.

Making the reveal via Twitter on Tuesday evening, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) stated that the new cases includes three Indians, 15 Maldivians and 19 Bangladeshis.

With this development, the country's total case count has risen to 1,143.

Covid-19 cases have been increasing across the country ever since the community transmission was discovered in Malé City on April 15.

The country has seen 80 recoveries and four Covid-19 related deaths thus far.
