An additional Indian who was among those who were repatriated from the Maldives through the neighboring country’s evacuation exercise, has tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to Indian news outlets, the infected patient is native to a district in South Kerela State and is a 43-year-old man.

The man was tested upon exhibiting symptoms after he disembarked from the repatriation ship, to Kochi.

The date of his departure has not been disclosed.

Indian news outlets have earlier reported similar cases as well.

As such, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) revealed that three of them who were repatriated from the Maldives and contracted the virus, are employees of Bison Maldives Private Limited.
