An additional 13 cases of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been confirmed in the Maldives.

The reveal was made by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

As such, the authority stated that as of 1pm Thursday, there have been 13 additional cases and among them are eight Maldivians and five Bangladeshi nationals.

With this development, the total number of cases sits at 968.
