A new case of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) has been confirmed in the Maldives.
The reveal was made via the Health Protection Agency (HPA) via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon. As such, HPA revealed that one Bangladeshi national has tested positive for the infection and authorities are yet to confirm any links to previous cases.
This pushes the total number of confirmed cases in the Maldives to 574.
A total of 290 Bangladeshi nationals have tested positive for the virus in the island nation thus far.
