15 additional Covid-19 cases have been discovered in the capital Malé City on Sunday, including two Indian nationals.
This was revealed by the Health Protection Agency on Sunday afternoon.
As such, patients 37 – 51 are all foreign nationals and it rises the total number of cases from the city to 31.
Patients 50 and 51 are Indian nationals and authorities are working to confirm if they have links to existing clusters.
HPA revealed that patients 37 – 49 are all Bangladeshi nationals and are contacts of patient 27.
A total of 16 have tested positive to the fatal virus on Sunday thus far and the number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 51.
Authorities are working to transfer all the individuals into isolation.
