Number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Maldives rises to 36

Police have been active on the roads of Maldives capital city the discovery of the first community transmission
Authorities have confirmed the 36th case of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that this is a Bangladeshi national who consulted at a flu clinic after exhibiting Covid-19-like symptoms.
With this case, the total of Covid-19 cases in the capital city, Malé has risen to 16.
Authorities are working to transfer the Bangladeshi national to an isolation facility.
It has not been disclosed if patient 36 has any connection to previous cases.
The Greater Malé Region has been under lockdown since Wednesday after the first community transmission was observed following the emergence of the first local case in the city when a woman tested positive to the disease.
