State Trading Organization (STO) has resumed services at its online store, ‘eSTOre’ from Thursday onwards.
The reveal was made via Twitter on Thursday, where STO stated that they have resumed the online store’s services.
As such, customers may now place orders for essentials and groceries online and have their purchase delivered to their doorsteps.
The service was temporarily halted due to the 24-hour lockdown declared by the Maldivian government on Wednesday after the emergence of the first community-transmitted case of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) where a local with no travel history, tested positive from capital city Malé.
STO opened the opportunity for customers to make online orders and for pick-up or delivery from STO Supermarket and the organization outsources the delivery process in cooperation with “Redbox Maldives”.
The store was introduced in order to ensure customers practice physical and social distancing during a time the Covid-19 pandemic is sweeping across the globe at a swift rate.
