The Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) has toured isolation/quarantine facilities established at Farukolhufushi and Hulhule Island Hotel (HIH).
Speaking to the media, HRCM noted that the facilities had adequate preparations for possible future scenarios related to Covid-19.
HRCM revealed that the facilities had the proper equipment, access to necessities and arrangements that ensure the safety and security of residents. Measures had also been taken to ensure the safety, security and mental health of the facility workers as well, said HRCM.
HRCM stated that the commission will continue to monitor the state of the facilities in collaboration with the relevant authorities, despite challenges.
