An expatriate has been stabbed in the midst of a quarrel between two other expatriates.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) received the report of the man having been stabbed a little past 2pm on Saturday.
The incident is to have occurred after a couple, two expatriates, split up following which the woman threatened to harm herself, with a knife in the presence of the man. The man who got stabbed is to have attempted to stop the quarrel between the two.
Sources report that the man had gotten injured while attempting to stop the woman from harming herself.
Although no serious injuries have been reported in the incident, that took place near a house in Henveiru-ward of capital city Malé, police have launched further investigations into the case.
