He was reported missing a little past 10pm on Monday
A Maldivian man has been found dead in the air duct of a house in Maafannu-ward of capital city Malé.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the they received the report of the missing 37-year-old a little past 10pm on Monday.
The man had been missing since Monday morning and he was discovered by officers, dead inside the air duct of his residence, a few minutes after the report was lodged.
Police revealed that the man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the state-run Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The cause of his death has not been disclosed by authorities.
MPS has since launched an investigation into the man’s death.
