Six individuals have been arrested over the death of an individual who was brought to the Gaaf Alif Atoll Hospital early Friday.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the 24-year-old was pronounced dead-on-arrival at the hospital at around 5am on Friday.
Police received the complaint nine minutes past 5am.
All six were arrested under a court order, some time on Friday, revealed police.
Arrested were two 24-year-olds, an 18-year-old, a 23-year-old, a 21-year-old and a 20-year-old.
Some media outlets have since reported that the deceased is Mohamed Mustafa, native to Villingili island in the atoll.
The case is under further investigations.
