Red suitcase abandoned at Republic Square in the capital city
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has confirmed that no dangerous substances were found in the red suitcase found abandoned at Male' City's Republic Square.
MNDF said that the red suitcase abandoned at Male' City's Republic Square on Wednesday morning was promptly checked by MNDF's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
No dangerous substances or devices were found inside upon examination, said MNDF.
Authorities have did not disclose the contents of the suitcase.
