Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) firefighters have on Saturday dowsed a fire that broke out in Henveiru-ward of capital city Malé.
The fire broke out when a mound of trash piled in between two adjacent houses; Queen of the Night and Aagadhage in Henveiru, caught fire.
MNDF received reports of the fire on Saturday morning, said authorities.
A team of officers were dispatched to the area immediately, and the fire was extinguished not long after.
Further details of the cause of the fire are yet to be disclosed.
