A 44-year-old man has been found dead inside a carpentry house in Mulah island of Meemu atoll.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) received the report close to 5am on Tuesday and cited doctors having stated that the man had a wound on his chest.
Police media official further cited doctors having revealed that the man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
While police received the report early Tuesday, they went on to highlight that an electric chainsaw was on the floor, close to where the body was discovered. The chainsaw was switched on, said police.
Further investigations have been launched into the case.
