Local telecommunications provider, Dhiraagu has launched eSIM service to its customers.
Dhiraagu revealed that the service, launched on Monday, will enable customers to manage personal and business contacts from one device and opens a doorway into the digital future.
The company describes the eSIM as an advanced technology that replaces traditional SIM cards and eliminates the need to carry around a physical card.
Customers may activate an eSIM and select the SIM profiles they wish to use and the introduction of this service paves way for customers to manage their SIMs outside of Maldives as well. As such, customers may separate personal and business lines or even add additional lines when travelling internationally with devices that come with the dual SIM feature.
Further, Dhiraagu revealed that existing postpaid or prepaid customers may change to an eSIM simply by logging into the Dhiraagu App via mobile devices.
The eSIMs come with a single-time price of MVR 30 if customers are transferring from a normal SIM and they will only work with devices that support eSIMs. Handsets that are enabled to support eSIMs include iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max for apple devices and all modern devices from Google Pixel 3 onwards for android devices.
Dhiraagu is known to be a telecommunications provider that has been working to bring the latest technology and digital services across the country since its inception.
