Maldives Police Service (MPS) has raided a house under a court order and arrested four men.
According to MPS, the court order was prompted by intel received by the Drug Enforcement Department (DED). As such, when police entered to search the house located in Maafanu ward around 19:22 (07:22 pm) of 31st December 2019, authorities caught a person on the balcony disposing of alcohol bottles by throwing them onto the road.
Upon searching the house, authorities found two cans and one bottle of alcohol, in addition to five rubber packets and two small packets of substances suspected to be drugs.
Four Maldivian men were arrested following the search.
The incident is undergoing further investigation.
