A man has been left severely injured in a case of theft in capital city Malé.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the robbery took place at around 11:26pm on Friday and that a 31-year-old was attacked during the robbery.
The man was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) upon discovery from the Carnival Region in henveiru-ward of the capital.
While the man’s wallet was mugged, he sustained a wound about 2 – 3 inches deep on his hand during the robbery.
