Membership opportunities have been opened for applications at the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC).

The President’s Office began accepting applications for the vacancy at MBC on Monday.

While forms have been made available at the office’s front desk, interested individuals may download the application through their official website as well.

Deadline for submissions has been set at 2pm, 20 October, a Sunday.

The opportunity was opened following President of the commission, Mohamed Shaheeb’s resignation.

Shaheeb forwarded his resignation to the President’s Office on 9 October, resigning from his long term as president of the commission at a time a motion had been forwarded to the parliament floor to remove him.

Initially appointed to MBC in April 2011, Shaheeb took oath of office for membership for a second term in April 2016.
