The government has held discussions to find a solution for those who were affected by the termination of the “Gulhifalhu Housing Project”.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with representatives of the individuals who made down-payments for social housing at the President’s Office on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking on behalf of those who incurred losses following the project’s termination, the representatives said that the delay in finding a solution has led to several challenges.

Further, their current living conditions and concerns were also shared with the president.

The representatives were assured that the government highly prioritizes finding a permanent fix for those who were affected following the termination and President Solih noted that the government is seeking ways to find a solution which will be carried out under the direct supervision of the President’s Office.

The meeting was joined by Minister at the President’s Office Ahmed Sameer, Chief of Staff Ali Zahir and Policy Secretary Aminath Shauna.
