Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun a search for an individual after being ordered to locate them by the Civil Court on Tuesday.
Police are locating Ismail Simah Jaleel, 35, native to Thinadhoo island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
According to the police, he is being located in connection to pending a Civil Court case.
He is to be kept in police custody until his presence is required at court for the hearing on 26 September.
Authorities have urged the public to come forth with any information of the man if attained and contact them through their Custodial Department.
