Home Minister Imran Abdulla has been unable to be present at Monday’s parliament sitting due to illness.
Speaker Mohamed Nasheed said the Home Minister caught the illness during the Hajj pilgrimage.
Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir proposed to question Minister Imran over the measures taken to prevent any mutiny inside the police service, similar to what had happened during the riots in February 7, 2012.
Minister Imran was scheduled to answer questions on Monday, however, speaker Nasheed said that he has excused himself on account of the illness via letter and so the questioning will be re-scheduled for another sitting.
