Maldives wins bronze at Chinese Cuisine World Championship 2019
 
This is the first time Maldives participated in the competition
 
The championship took place Shenyang, China from 21 to 24 August

Maldives has won bronze at the international cook-off, Chinese Cuisine World Championship 2019.

The team of six expert chefs represented Chefs Guild of Maldives at the competition that took place in Shenyang City, China from 21 to 24 August.

The six chefs who won bronze for Maldives are Mohamed Adil from Faarufushi, Ahmed Mazim from Four Seasons at Landaa Giraavaru, Riffath Mohamed from Kuda Bandos, Ibrahim Nathif from Baros Maldives, owner of Japanese restaurant in Hulhumalé, Oishii, Ahmed Fatheen and culinary consultant Ibrahim Naeem.

Since it was launched in 2014, the Chinese Cuisine World Championship has been held every two years and aims to provide a platform to promote and develop the cuisine worldwide. It is an initiative by the China Cuisine Association.

This is the first time Maldives has participated in this international-level competition.

Chefs Guild Maldives continues to play a major role in developing the culinary industry of the country at a fast-rate, having provided opportunities for Maldivians to participate in many such international events.
