Youth Ministry registers "Maldives Coral Institute", initiated by climate champion
The institute is stationed inside Nasheed's residence, G. Kenereege

The environmental organization initiated and formed by former President and Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, “Maldives Coral Institute” has officially been registered.
The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment registered the institution on the 25th of July this year.
Said institution is to be stationed inside Nasheed’s residence, Kenereege in Galolhu-ward of capital city Malé.
Alongside Nasheed, the institution is co-founded by Mariyam Raahil Naseem.
The aim of the organization is to bring about the necessary progress to the country in line with climate change as well as minimizing negative impacts on the environment through their work and coral protection.
While such an institute has been opened, a similar “Coral Institute” has also been opened in southernmost Addu City to carry out similar tasks for environment protection.
