Newly appointed Ambassador of Maldives to China Aishath Azeema has met Wang Lutong, DDG of the Protocol Department and Director of the Office of Foreign Missions at the ministry.

The meeting was held on Monday.

Azeema’s nomination to the post was forwarded to the parliament’s committee on national security in December 2018.

While the government is working to strengthen bilateral ties with other countries, the Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seen working to address and discuss solutions for the many obstacles the Maldives embassies in several countries face in their work.
