Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula has participated in the Global Aviation Cooperation Symposium.

The third GACS was held in Thailand with the theme of Bridging the Standards and Recommended Practices Compliance Gap with Quality and Efficiency.

The event had a combination of speaker sessions, discussion panels, and workshops covering all of the main areas of civil aviation, including infrastructure development, compliance improvement through technical expertise, as well as enabling topics such as cooperation through regional projects, capacity building through training and project funding and resource mobilization.

The Transport Ministry stated that Minister Nahula, at the symposium, discussed the current state of civil aviation and obstacles to development to come up with solutions.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held this year’s symposium in close collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and the Regional Office in Bangkok.
