Maldives Hajj Corporation has assigned and signed agreements with the first batch of marketing agents to work with the corporation in order to cater to the people even more efficiently.

During a ceremony on Wednesday, Managing Director of the corporation Ismail Hameed stated that it is a notable concern of outlying residents that they are required to travel to capital city Malé in order to acquire services from the corporation and that they hope to expand their services across the outlying atolls through these agents, in turn offering a solution to these concerns.

He highlighted that the corporation is working to place a marketing agent in every outlying atoll in their efforts to expand their services.

As the first step, they assigned five marketing agents to five constituencies and signed agreements on Wednesday.

They are for Inguraidhoo, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Isdhoo and Thimarafushi constituencies.

The corporation aims to place an agent in every constituency in the near future, excluding Malé.

The agents in question, will work to provide details of all the services the corporation provides to their constituents as well as helping them register for pilgrimages.

However, they are forbidden from carrying out financial transactions under the corporation’s name, Hameed added.
