Foreign Minister departs to Russia

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has departed to Russia on Monday.

In this trip, the Minister will be meeting with the foreign Minister of Russia in order to discuss the long-standing relations between both the countries.

During the visit, the Minister will also sign an agreement for the exemption of visa requirements for residents of both countries.

The objective of the agreement is to provide visa for 90 days, on arrival for the residents of both Russia and Maldives.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, Ambassador of Maldives to Germany Ahmed Latheef, Director of the Foreign Ministry Shiuneen Rasheedh and Desk Officer Mariyam Asif is taking part in this trip with the foreign minister.
