Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Maldives at 03:05 pm, Saturday.
While PM Modi is set to embark on the two-day trip to Maldives within a few hours, sources in India have publicized his itinerary during his time in the country.
Modi’s schedule is as follows:
1505 – Arrival in Malé
1530 – Ceremonial welcome at the Republic Square
1600 – Official meeting with Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih
1730 – Exchange of agreements and remote inauguration of projects
1745 – Press statements
1800 – Meeting with Maldives Vice President Faisal Naseem
1830 – Meeting with Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed
1845 – Address to Majlis
2100 – Special banquet hosted by President Solih in honor of PM Modi
RaajjeMV understands that he will also be meeting Maldives’ political leaders including former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim, as well as Adhaalth Party leader and Home Minister Imran Abdulla, before concluding his visit on Sunday and travels to neighboring Sri Lanka.
PM Modi will also be signing six agreements during the visit.
