An expatriate has been found dead in Dhuvaafaru island of Raa atoll.
RaajjeMV understands that the expatriate had been living in the country, illegally.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, council member Mohamed Jameel revealed that the council received the report of the death on Sunday morning and that the council was not aware that the expatriate was working in the island illegally.
The council further revealed that he was working in a construction company and was brought under the supervision of a senior expatriate worker in the company.
RaajjeMV also understands that the expatriate had been having chest pains with high temperature for the past two days, but had refused to consult a doctor.
Although he had agreed for a consultation later on, he was found death by his roommates.
