The Diabetes Society of Maldives (DSM), a local non-profit organization, has launched a bi-annual medical journal.

The publication, named ‘Dhoadhi’, was launched on Sunday night by Higher Education Minister Ibrahim Hassan.

The journal will include articles and research papers on the disease; the DMS also conducted a nation-wide screening between 2002 and 2015.

The DMS clinic also provides free screening and treatment.

The organization was established in 2000.
