President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the inauguration ceremony to initiate the program to provide religious education to persons with special needs.
The program provides instructions to persons with specials needs on how to recite the Holy Quran and was inaugurated at a ceremony held at the Islamic Center on Tuesday night.
Organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the program is being implemented as part of President Solih’s government policies on providing assistance to those with special needs.
It also focuses on raising religious awareness within the Maldivian community.
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahid Ali also participated in the special ceremony held at the Islamic Center.
