Maldives government is fully committed to work closely with the United Arab Emirates, assures Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid.
Minister Shahid and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan had on Saturday discussed a range of issues on the progress of the two nations.
As such, both Ministers discussed increasing the intensity of bilateral contacts, development cooperation and working together with the International organizations such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The meeting between the Foreign Minister was held in Abu Dhabi where Minister Shahid offered his felicitations to Foreign Minister Al Nahyan during his chairmanship of the 46th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, which concluded on Sunday.
Minister Shahid and his delegation returned to Maldives on Sunday morning.
