Maldives Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has on Thursday concluded his short visit to Washington DC.
FM Shahid departed on Thursday after concluding his two-day official visit to Washington which came upon the invitation of the US Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo.
During the visit, Minister Shahid had signed a Memorandum of Agreement on Aviation Security Assistance with the US government.

FM Shahid and US Secretary of State Pompeo had discussed on enhancing the existing cooperation between Maldives and US on multiple areas during the visit as well.
