Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has on Tuesday left to Saudi Arabia. 

The Foreign Ministry says Minister Shahid will be meeting Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al-Assaf.

A ministry press release says that Shahid will also meet with other senior members of the Saudi government, to primarily discuss how Saudi Arabia can assist development in the Maldives.

Minister Shahid is accompanied by Additional Secretary Ahmed Shiaan and other officials of the Foreign Ministry.
