Candidates contesting in the upcoming People’s Majlis election through the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) have submitted their forms to the Elections Commission. 

The party had held a ceremony on Tuesday morning, where individuals elected through the party primary had gathered together and marched to the commission headquarters.

The commission had received each candidate’s candidacy form individually. 

A number of candidates and members of the party’s general assembly participated in the event. 

MDP is fielding candidates to 86 constituencies in the upcoming election.

The Majlis election is to be held on April 6th.
