Maldives Police Service (MPS) is working to transfer a sick police officer to capital city Male’, via Maldives National Defense Force’s helicopter.

The Police Spokesperson Izmia Zahir stated that the 30-year-old officer, native to Hoarafushi, has chickenpox that has now spread into his internal organs

Due to his critical condition, he was transferred from Kelaa Hospital to Kulhudhuffushi Hospital on Monday night.

The police spokesperson stated that they have begun work, with the help of military officers, to transfer him to the capital city for further treatment.
