Recently appointed Maldives Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Umar Abdul Razzaq has assured that he will put in his best efforts to ensure some of the challenges faced by Maldivian residents in Si Lanka are addressed.

The Ambassador made this statement particularly regarding visa facilitation and accessing services, during a courtesy call paid on Vice President Faisal Naseem at the President’s Office on Monday morning.

According to the President’s Office, the ambassador further stated that he will be exploring ways to excel diplomatic and consular services offered in Sri Lanka by the Maldives Embassy.

During the call, VP Naseem and Ambassador Razzaq had discussed on enhancing cooperation with the neighboring country on mutual areas that are prioritized, such as tourism and trade.

VP Naseem had congratulated Ambassador Razzaq on the commencement of his term, having expressed his enthusiasm to work together to further enhance the close brotherly ties that have existed between both countries.
