Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan has expressed his emirate’s commitment to supporting fisheries, farming, and agriculture in the Maldives.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with the crown prince at the sidelines of the ‘Zayed Sustainability Awards’ held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital on Monday.

A committee for ‘joint cooperation’ between Maldives and the emirate was formed on Monday as well, signed between Foreign Ministers Abdulla Shahid and Abdulla bin Zayed al Nahyan, of Maldives and UAE respectively.

Maldives and the UAE signed a visa waiver agreement in December, which now allows Maldivians to travel to the country without a visa.
