Officers had shared their concerns and opinions for improvement
Chief of Defence Major General Abdulla Shiyam meets with officers with over 30 years of service
Chief of Defence, Major General Abdulla Shamaal, has met with officers who have served in the Maldives National Defence Force for over 30 years.
The MNDF reported that Chief Shamaal had heard the concerns of and opinions for improvement from the officers at Sunday night’s meeting.
Chief Shamaal was appointed to the position on December 11th, having met with officers at a ceremony on the 17th, where he said that the MNDF must display commitment and competence in upholding the security of the ‘Maldives and her people’.
The current government, which took office in November of last year, has expressed commitment to supporting the MNDF. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with general officers, unit commanders, and other senior officers during a ‘lunch’ at his first visit to the military headquarters.
