Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has on Tuesday left to Tokyo, Japan, after having accompanied President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on his state visit to India.
Minister Shahid left to Tokyo from India with Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer. Shahid announced this in a tweet.
After accompanying President @ibusolih on his State Visit to India, leaving Delhi with Minister of Economic Development Hon. @faya_i and Minister of Finance Hon. Ameer to Tokyo to hold discussions with senior Japanese Government Officials.

Shahid and the ministerial delegation are to meet ‘senior officials’ of the Japanese government, which the Maldives has had a decades-long economic ties with.
This is Minister Shahid's third state visit since having been appointed head of the foreign services in November this year. Shahid has been to India separately, and to the United Arab Emirates.
