Ambassador of Germany to Maldives, Jörn Rohde has paid a courtesy call on former President Mohamed Nasheed.
The meeting took place at the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) head office on Sunday.
The German Ambassador and Maldives former President discussed ways to work jointly for the promotion of human rights and democracy in the Maldives.

The meeting was joined by MDP’s Chairperson Hassan Latheef and Secretary General Anas Abdul Sattar.
Nasheed returned to Maldives on Sunday from his trip to Poland to attend the 24th summit of the UN Conference of the Parties (COP) representing Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
