MDP now accepting applications for primary candidacy
Individuals interested in candidacy must apply before 16:00 on January 19th

The party will be putting forth candidates for all 87 parliamentary seats
The Maldivian Democratic Party has said that will now be accepting candidates contesting in the primary elections for the 2019 People’s Majlis ballots.
Individuals interested in candidacy must apply before 16:00 on January 19th, with 200 endorsement signatures.
The party will only be granting tickets to candidates chosen through the primary elections, although sole candidates contesting in constituencies will receive a ticket.
The party will be putting forth candidates for all 87 parliamentary seats. The primary election is to be held on 18th January.
