Waheed's appointment comes after the sacking of predecessor Ashmalee
Ismail Waheed, new Chairman of telecommunications giant Dhiraagu
Former Chief Executive Officer at local telecommunications giant Dhiraagu, Ismail Waheed, has been appointed as the company’s Chairman.
President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board of the Maldives, Mohamed Nizar revealed this via twitter on Thursday.
Waheed’s appointment as the company’s Chairman comes after his predecessor Mohamed Ashmalee was sacked from his post, on the 22nd of November.
While Waheed formerly served as CEO at Dhiraagu, he had resigned from the post in September 2015.
