Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has urged all travelers to check-in at their earliest convenience in order to avoid long queues ahead of the holidays.

MACL, the operator of Velana International Airport made this appeal via twitter on Friday night.

MACL advices all those travelling through international and domestic terminals at the airport to do early check-ins.

This has been advised as long queues and possible delays are expected ahead of the school holidays as the academic year comes to an end.

Following the end of the school year, many families are seen travelling to the islands and out of the country for the holidays.
