200 foreign dignitaries to attend president-elect's swearing in ceremony

The swearing in ceremony is to be held at the national stadium in capital city Malé

Over 200 foreign dignitaries are to attend president-elect Ibrahim Solih and vice president-elect Faisal Naseem’s swearing in ceremony, their office has revealed.

The swearing in ceremony is to be held at the national stadium in capital city Malé at 5:00pm on Saturday, 17th November.

Maldives is expected to host dignitaries from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Morocco, Seychelles, Mauritius, and United Arab Emirates.

Specific individuals arriving are former Sri Lankan president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and current Indian prime minister Narendra Modi. Saudi minister of state, Prince Mansour bin Mutaib Al Saud are also attending.

Unprecedently, a number of locals have also been allowed to attend the swearing in ceremony.
