The 30-year-old is being treated at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hosptial

A man has on Tuesday been injured in a stabbing in capital city Malé.

The assault was carried out at about 7:00AM on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old is being treated at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hosptial, and doctors say he was stabbed nine times.

The police are investigating the assault.
