The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed interim lists of flat recipients in a number of outlying atolls.

The ministry has allocated housing units, through their ‘Hiyaa’ shelter program, in Addu and Fuvahmulah Cities, Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaal atoll, Gadhdhoo in Gaafu Dhaal atoll, Vilingilli in Gaafu Alifu atoll, and Dhidhdhoo island in Haa Alif atoll.

A total of 100 housing units from Dhidhdhoo island have been allocated, while 10 of 50 housing units in Thinadhoo have also been allocated.

The ministry has also opened a counter to receive possible complaints about the allocation.

The state is giving out of a total of 7,000 housing units under the Hiyaa program.
