People of the south-Galolhu constituency held an event on Thursday to celebrate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s electoral win.
Solih joined the event with vice-presidential-elect Faisal Naseem and South-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof.
The event showcased Maldivian tradition, as in keeping with Solih’s presidential campaign theme, with live music from a traditional ‘boduberu’ band. People at the event were also given the opportunity to take photos with Solih and Faisal.
Members of the opposition coalition have been holding celebratory events across the country since their win in September’s election
The president-elect and his team are currently working on the government transition process.
