The president-elect’s team tasked with evaluating the government branches during the transition process has not yet been able to get into the housing ministry, says former housing minister Mohamed Aslam.

Aslam said this after he filed a complaint at the Anti-Corruption Commission over the housing ministry selling land in the newly reclaimed area in Hulhumale’, despite the government being requested to halt any new projects during the transition period.

Aslam told the press that the team requested the housing ministry to enter their office but minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that he can only meet them on Wednesday and refused to allow them in.

Noting that the team was also barred from meeting with the employees, Aslam said that it was important for government institutions to give them support during the transition.
